When I tried to post this article, I kept getting this error:

You don't have permission to access /wp-admin/post.php on this server.
Not only that, but when I went back to the post, all my typing had disappeared — apparently the autosave function was also broken.
After a maddening search I found the cause was this fella. http://wordpress.org/support/topic/91254
